Through the Years

I'm 31 years old today. To celebrate, here's a little photo retrospective of Yours Truly.

Look familiar? This is the one at the top of my blog. It was taken in Nebraska.

Mom still loves polka dots to this day. Maybe because this suit was so darling?

My hero in childhood was Aaron, my brother. And Molly was the most awesome dog ever.

I spent my 2nd birthday in Spain.

I was a Snoopy fan from a young age, thanks to Aaron's love of the Peanuts comic books.

I broke my leg in a freak shopping cart accident when I was three. Mom still can't talk about it.

I loooooved my Cabbage Patch Kids dolls.

My first piano recital. I wasn't crazy about my teacher, but look at those perfectly straight little wrists!

I learned how to pout effectively (or at least look hilarious doing it) at an early age.

Just like anyone else, I had an awkward adolesence (braces and acne and baby fat, oh my!).

I was a total band nerd in high school. Being a nerd didn't bother me--I was having too much fun.

I was also in Jazz Choir, and we were AWESOME.

I went to prom with a friend and had a great time.

And, of course, I graduated.

Then I went to college, and had my very own craptastic dorm room.

I went to California State University, Chico. Beautiful campus.

I got a tattoo (just kidding, I'm ink-free. This was part of a Halloween costume).

I turned 21.

Millie came into my life. : )

Then I graduated and went out in the real world. Pictures are scarce (before digital, and I haven't scanned them!).

But I did let my hair go back to its natural color for a while.

I moved to England for a year (and came home to my baby for Christmas).

These days, I'm learning this thing called "body confidence." And wearing a lot of green.

Happy Birthday to me!

Good old Ed! Megan and I gave him such a hard time in our four years. *wicked laugh*

In my memory, it wasn't just you - I remember many times working so hard not to roll on the ground laughing when he spun around and caught us making fun of him. Michelle and I had way too much fun!

Your childhood pictures are eerily similar to my own, complete with smocked dress at the piano recital. Happy happy 31st to you!

Happy birthday!

I like the dark hair, by the way! And the picture of you pouting is awesome.

Happy Birthday, Meg! What a fun picture retrospective. (I think I'll pass on that for my birthday -- if I tried for one picture for each year, it'd be waaaaay too many, haha!) Hope it's a grand year for you.
