Today, I drove up to Mom and Dad's house. Dad and I had already arranged for me to surprise Mom for Mother's Day. I felt bad that I made a ton of plans on Mother's Day weekend, but figured it wouldn't hurt to drive up to have lunch with them.
Mom was showering when I got there, but once she was done, she was, indeed, surprised to see me, and very happy. We ran to Target to get a book we both want to read (the latest Sookie Stackhouse book), and later went to lunch at Meridian's restaurant in the clubhouse in Mom and Dad's neighborhood.
Shortly after lunch, I got on the road, taking Mom's cats, Bella and Duchess, with me. I'm babysitting them until next Thursday, because Mom and Dad are going on a trip this week.
So yes, that makes FOUR cats in my apartment--just call me the Crazy Cat Lady. I'll be scooping a lot of poop this week.

Ahh Megs, I miss my girls! We know they are in good hands and you will take good care of them.
They are sure to keep Harley busy and that will give Millie a good rest. Hugs...
Stay tuned for blog updates! I'll make sure you can get a "fix" each day. They miss you, too. They like me, but I'm not their mom, and this is not their home!
