Crazy-Fun Weekend, Part 3: San Francisco

I spent Friday night at Summer and Ben's place (thanks, guys!!). On Saturday morning, Summer and I went to the gym to do some cardio and stretching (all the walking/standing of the night before had taken its toll on the calves).

Later, we drove to the Bart station (that's Bay Area Rapid Transit, or the bay area's answer to the New York Subway) nearest Summer's place, and met her friend Deborah. We rode Bart into the city, getting off at Powell Street, in a gigantic mall.

We walked a few blocks to Yerba Buena Gardens, where a tea place called Samovar waited. We had traditional English tea, which contained quiche, a salad, fresh fruit, and a scone with jam and clotted cream. It was lovely.

As we sat and chatted, Summer's friend Mindy called and said, "I'm nearby!" So she came to join us and we sat for hours, chatting. It was a lovely time.

When we left, we took some pics in the gardens, and I took some pictures of the surrounding buildings.

Deborah and Mindy went their separate ways, so Summer and I looked around the mall for a little bit before catching Bart back to Oakland. The mall is massive, and impressive.

We took Bart back, and parted ways in Oakland. Summer went home, and I went to nearby Berkeley to see Little Ashes.
