- Singing, free of self-consciousness and vocal obstructions.
- Time with my family and/or friends.
- Finding my groove on a long run.
- Laughing until tears stream down my face.
- Cuddles with my Millie-girl.
- When my students actually laugh at my bad puns, instead of looking at me like, "Sigh. Grown-ups."
- Feeling warm sand between my toes.
- Listening to the ocean.
- That moment when my choir masters a song.
- Flying into the airport over a place I love--London and San Francisco, especially.
- Rubber ducks.
- Hell, ducks in general. They're just so ridiculous and funny.
- Reading on the sofa on a rainy day.
- That first bite into a piece of chocolate.
- The satisfaction of completing a difficult workout.
- Sweat. I used to hate to sweat, now I love it.
- Any time the song "Somewhere Only We Know" comes on.
- Putting a slash through in item on my To Do List and seeing them add up through the week.
- A clean desk.
- Putting money in my savings account.
- The color green.
- Being unable to put a book down.
- Exploring an interesting new place.
- Daffodils.
- A new pair of running shoes.
- Snoopy--all of the Peanuts Gang, really, but especially Snoopy. And Woodstock on Twitter.
- Internet-Famous cats, like Lil Bub, Grumpy Cat, and The Itty Bitty Kitty Committee girls.
- Hot tea, with a bit of milk and sugar, in my favorite mug.
- How my sheets smell when they've been line-dried on a sunny day.
- Pajamas. Seriously, the minute I get home, no matter what time of day, I'm in them.
- Doing nice things for people for no reason.
- Making cards.
- Taking pictures.
- Ice cream. Ice cream always makes me happy.
- The word "diphthong." I can't say it without getting a little giggle, and it's also a legitimate linguistic/singing term.
- Baby animals.
- Polka dots.
- Spending an hour or two perusing a bookstore, with nothing to hurry me along.
- Adventures with my friends--to the beach, to a California Mission, to Wine Country.
- The Golden Gate Bridge. It's my favorite California icon. I never get tired of it.
- Living in California. This is an amazing state...not without problems, but full of beauty.
- Finding obscure post cards for my brother, knowing he loves to get them and keeps them for his collection.
- My birthday. I don't mind getting a year older--age is just a number. Life is about enjoying the ride. Besides, I get cake.
- Using the pretty afghan my mom made for me on cold nights.
- My green Converse Chucks. I mean, they're bright green. Perfect for Fridays at the Large Suburban High School.
- When students see me around campus and their faces light up and they say, "Hey Ms. Cooper!!!" like they're genuinely excited to see me.
- Organizing. Yes. I am happy when I'm organizing stuff. It makes me feel in control of my world.
- My Little Pink Blog. I don't have a huge readership, but I'm PROUD of this blog, and I enjoy writing it.
- Having enough. Not more than I need...but enough.
- You. Yes, you!

Blog Challenge: 50 Things That Make Me Happy
Fellow runner and blogger Eric is doing a writing challenge, and I liked his Week 6 entry so much, I thought I'd do my own. I challenge other blogging friends to do the same! Without further ado, fifty things that make me happy (in no particular order).
