Just a quick update from a sleepy Meg.
Honestly, I'm not sure how the lesson went on Friday. I thought it went well, but what really matters is what the panel thought. They seemed surprised when I told them, after the fact, that the trumpet is my weakest instrument by far.
I leave it to the universe. I did everything I could and now it really is out of my hands.
Yesterday, I helped out at Adoption Day (my last one for AFC, *sniffle*) and cuddled the kittens and cats for hours. A pair of tiny terrors named Zena and Zelda (both black with the teensiest smudge of white on their chests) charmed me for hours, leaping, playing, cuddling and being adorable. They were left in the permananent cages for the week and were there this morning when I went in for my normal cage-cleaning duties. So much cuteness.
Today I came up to Mom and Dad's house. Mom is recovering from her hospital stay and is still tired and a little weakened from the angiogram she had on Friday (I had no idea they were so invasive). But she's glad to be home and she's in good spirits. Dad has taken great care of her and I'm happy to be able to spend the week here helping take the load off a bit.
I find myself quite sleepy tonight and ready for a glass of milk and a good book. I haven't worked out for a couple of days, so tomorrow, I think a good run is in order.
So again, it's all up to the universe now. At the end of August, I am moving. I just don't know where yet. Oakland? Lincoln?
Wait and see.
