Mojo

Hmm...I feel as though I've been quiet this last week or two, on the blog front. Last night I scheduled a few Monday Music posts, and in the next few days I'll do some more Wordless Wednesday posts. I've inundated you with pictures of past adventures, and blathered about my green lifestyle, but I haven't really talked about what's going on in my life now.

Probably because the answer is, "Not much."

Still, I'm quite content. I've been working out regularly (and meaning to do a post about my new obsession--swimming and the steam room) and while my blogging mojo has been slow, my creativity has been on fire. I've been making cards and scrapbooking like a fiend, and enjoying every minute.

In a matter of a few days, I managed to complete the scrapbook from my Epic Week--five-and-a-half days of fun and adventures. It turned out quite well and I can't wait to show it off.

And I've been promoting my Etsy shop as much as possible. I'm figuring things out--to get sales, one must play the Etsy game, so I've joined some teams and started posting in discussion boards on the site to get some exposure. I recently had my first sale to someone that is not a friend or family member, and that inspired me to get my shop organized and moving again. My latest thing is Pink Power--I've been doing lots of collage-style cards in pinks, and a portion of each sale will be donated to Susan G. Komen. Tonight, I finished some St. Patrick's Day cards that I never got to before the holiday...I figure they're now in my stock for next year, and in the meantime, you never know who might want a green, shamrock-themed card that says "Slainte."

I've been enjoying these sunny days with mildly warm temps and the cool nights that follow. I'm home a lot, so I keep the windows open until the sun goes down, then I only have the bedroom window cracked open (I keep a bar in it so no one can open it) during the night for that fresh, cool air as I sleep. The cats enjoy basking in the afternoon sun as it comes in the windows.

Money has been tight (as ever) so I'm stretching food and not letting anything go to waste. I  had a marvelous dinner tonight of baked chicken, butternut squash-flavored risotto, steamed broccoli, and fruit salad (strawberry, pineapple, grapes). The leftovers will last me until Tuesday, and on Wednesday I'll be going to Mom and Dad's for a few days.

So life has been quiet of late, and I'm enjoying it. I look for jobs every day--there's not much, but I'm applying everywhere--and making good use of my free time to create. It's not such a bad thing, really.
