So, as promised, I have a TON of pictures to share from the Scottish Games I went to today. I'm breaking them into categories, because I took somewhere around 100 pictures.
I got there around 11:00 and excitedly set out to SHOP. There are some awesome products in some of the booths, including hysterical t-shirts, bumper stickers, traditional Scottish/British goods, and everything else. Oh, and if you need a kilt...
First, the funny t-shirts:
Of course, there are kilts and stockings and all manner of Scottish gear for all ages. If you don't like plaid, well, you're in the wrong place (I happen to love plaid).
There are all kinds of funny bumper stickers (and coasters).
I found one vendor that sold British grocery items. They had everything your neighborhood Anglophile could possibly want, including my beloved Jaffa Cakes. I bought two boxes, and I intend to hoard them.
Then there are the musical instruments. I was sorely tempted to blow a bunch of money on an Irish bodhran drum, or a bagpipe starter kit, but figured I should use the instruments I have at home (piano, clarinet) more often, instead.
No self-respecting Scot is ever without weapons.
In addition to these fine things, there are other random things to buy.
I ended up with a couple pieces of Celtic jewelry, some bumper stickers, and Jaffa Cakes. I'm a happy girl.
Next up: Scottish Animals. : )
