My Week in Instagram (Week #33)

Food, fun, and the Fourth. Oh, and excessive heat. That wasn't so much fun.

Sunday:

Yes, I have been getting up obscenely early on my summer
vacation to get my runs in before it hits 90 degrees at 8:00.

All of these came from Mom's garden, and they taste as
wonderful as they look.

Mom: "You should take a picture of my pie!" It's
strawberry-rhubarb.

Monday:

Pink painted piggies!

I'm getting really good at this sock bun thing. Perfect
hairdo for a hot day.

I loved my outfit on Monday.

Unacceptable, Chevron. UNACCEPTABLE!!

Waiting for a piano student to arrive. I got bored.
Tuesday:

I made a collage using Mod Podge. It ended up being a
birthday card for Mom.

I splurged on the third and fourth books of the Percy
Jackson & the Olympians series.
Wednesday:

On Wednesday, Dad made ice cream for a party he and Mom
would attend the next day.

It's an old family recipe, and "Irma" was actually "Erma."

I bought birthday cupcakes for Mom at Whole Foods.

Cupcake and homemade ice cream. A day early, but that's
okay! Happy Birthday, Mom!
Thursday:

Lincoln's Annual July 4th Parade!

I love a marching band. : )

Brave soldiers

Abe Lincoln on stilts.

A parade just isn't a parade without a John Deere, right?

Gorgeous dress! I'm partial to green.

I live in a small town. They were using the cannon on back
to launch little Nerf balls at the kids in the crowd.

Yeah...this was just odd.

Ending the parade, a long line of Placer County and Lincoln
City Fire trucks.

They were giving stickers to the kids.
Friday:

Lazy Millie on a hot Friday evening.

These are antique printer's stamps. Pretty cool.

Lady Fuzz, Duchess of Lincoln.

Saturday:

Today's lunch: a very yummy salad.

I cooked my first chuck roast! Threw it in the crock pot
with potatoes, carrots, onion, and mushrooms. We
made sandwiches for dinner, and it was delicious!
