Forty-five is the atomic number of rhodium. It is divisible by 1, 3, 5, 9, 15, and, of course, itself, making it a non-prime number. The sum of all the digits is 45 (0 + 1 + 2 + 3 + 4 + 5 + 6 + 7 + 8 + 9 = 45).
+45 is the country code if you're trying to phone someone in Denmark. A 45 was an old record people used to listen to in those dark days before CDs and then iTunes.
And finally, 45 is the Sapphire Anniversary, so happy sapphires to my parents today, as they celebrate forty-five years of marriage and friendship together...somewhere in the Caribbean. I hope you're enjoying every minute of your cruise, and I thank you both for giving me such a wonderful example of what marriage can be when you are married to your best friend.
