At rehearsal last night, one of the tenors announced a special deal that's happening tomorrow. A new musical called Allegiance is opening next year, so right now, they've been screening a recorded version of it to get audience feedback. It's coming to Sacramento tomorrow night, along with one of the show's stars...none other than George Takei. He's hosting a special reception beforehand, and SCSO singers have been invited to attend (it's free!). I reserved my spot today and printed the ticket.
Mom and Dad return on Sunday, and I have grand plans to welcome them home to a super-clean house. I've been organizing (someone had to go through the towel drawer in the kitchen--good God, it was a mess!) and putting new systems for cat feeding in place.
All of this productivity is making me tired, so I think I'll sign off now and watch my new guilty pleasure, "Pan Am." It is cheesy beyond belief. Stewardess spy intrigues! Refusal to wear a girdle! But it is fun.
