A Very Fun 4th

I had an absolutely lovely time at Summer and Ben's barbecue yesterday--there is something about good friends, a relaxed atmosphere, good tunes, and yummy food that can make a day perfect. There were a few kids on hand, and dogs were welcome. The conversation flowed and the weather was perfect.

I was home by 8:30--perfect timing to miss the late-night drunk drivers and to be here for Millie and Harley during the worst of the fireworks noise.

Of course, there are pictures.

The obligatory self-taken photo of Summer and Meg.

I paked down the street a bit because parking at Summer and Ben's is tight.
They live in the gorgeous Oakland Hills.

The view from their gate.

Prosciutto-wrapped carrots and green onion. Ben grilled them. They were
DELICIOUS.

Buddy is a GOOD BOY.

I found this shirt on Sunday at Old Navy. It was perfect.

Summer has mad mosaic skills.

Sitting in the shade on the deck.

The obligatory Swimmy pic.

"Benji" and his young friend.

Lucy, a visiting dog, and Buddy's first girlfriend.

Summer and Sarah.

Sarah's daughter loved the swings.

Burgers and sausages were the main course. Yummy!
