So Much Epic Craziness and Win (In Other Words, Endless, Random Rambling)

Over the last few days, I've been feeling a little bit overwhelmed by all I have to do. There's been sorting music for Chorale, and dealing with all of the questions people keep throwing at me. The same questions, over and over, even as they stood there and listened to me answer it to the person right in front of them in line. It's like teaching. I do my best to stay patient.

After all, I love these people, and I love what Chorale has brought to my life.

Our director publicly referred to me as "a very organized young woman" last night, and I was flattered.

Today, I woke up a little bit earlier than usual because Keane played a gig in Beijing that was live streamed on their web site. It started at 6:15 Pacific Time and while I'm normally up at that time, I'm usually just dragging out of bed and going to the loo and brewing the tea, etc. So I got up at 5:30 this morning so I could get the page to load and have the caffeine already flowing through my veins. With being up late-ish last night after Chorale rehearsal, it means I'm sleepy tonight. It's a bit after 9:00, and I'll be in bed soon.

I had a to-do list as long as my arm today (I have short arms, but believe me, that list seemed really long). I did some important stuff, like checking the teacher job sites and paying a bill and getting my desk organized after my weekend at Mom and Dad's. I also did some stuff that needed doing, like printing out some letters to two soldiers I'm sending mail to through AdoptaPlatoon. I backed up my iTunes library and typed up some lists (I keep a list of online accounts and passwords in a super-secret place, just in case I need it).

It was a productive day, and I felt good.

I also feel really good because I've had two really good workout days in a row. Yesterday I focused on my upper body, today on the lower. I pushed myself and it makes me feel strong and capable.

On Monday, I made a little video, which I'll share here now:

That's. Right. One week from today, Maayan will be arriving! One week from tomorrow, we're off to see Mumford and Sons! We're both so excited we can hardly stand it.

In the meantime, I've got plans. Friday, I want to go to the Stockton Asparagus Festival for a little while. Saturday, I'm helping out with Adoption Day for AFC. Sunday, I'll do my normal cage-cleaning, then Mom and Dad are bringing Bella and Duchess down for an extended visit. Monday, of course, is Santa Barbara with Meghan for Mumford gig number 1. Tuesday I'll recover from that and clean this apartment top to bottom. We don't have Chorale on Tuesday due to Holy Week. Wednesday I'll drive into San Francisco to see Sarah, a colleague from my days at St. Peter's in England (the reason this whole blog was started!) and that night, I'll be off to Sacramento to pick up Maayan. Thursday is Oakland and the concert and on Friday, our only concrete plan is to find a beach and park our butts on it for a little while.

So all this craziness starts on Friday. Tomorrow I want to get a few more things done and spend some time relaxing, if possible.

Of course, my camera will be with me every step of the way next week. I'm just going to carry a ton of extra batteries and my extra memory card. I'll try to blog every couple of days but it's hard to say how much time and energy I'll have.

I'm not excited, or anything. ; )
