Creative

I've been having fun making things for my Etsy shop (though not a hell of a lot of luck selling anything!). My most recent creation is this Happy Birthday banner, which I'm quite proud of.

I found the papers and coordinating stickers at Beverly's a few weeks ago, while home for Christmas. I immediately got the idea to do a banner. The color scheme is not going to be for everyone, but I know my eight-year-old self would have gone bananas for it.

I'm offering to make custom banners for all occasions via my Etsy shop, and thought a little shameless self-promotion on my blog wouldn't be a bad thing.

It's almost four feet long!

P.S. I used my Cricut machine for those letters--now that I'm getting the hang of it, I'm having a blast--I used the regular letter function with the pink card stock, and the shadow function with the dark purple (looks black here, but it's dark purple!) card stock. It's time-consuming, gluing everything and all that, but it looks great and gives the banner that extra edge of professionalism.

I'm having way too much fun.
