Step 1: Soften cream cheese the fast way by putting in the microwave a bit longer than necessary.
Step 2: Take cream cheese out of microwave. Ouch! It's HOT!
Step 3: Drop cream cheese tub on the floor. Watch as, in slow motion, the cheese splatters all over your legs. The HOT cheese.
Step 4: Dance over to the sink (thank goodness for teeny, tiny galley kitchens--sink is only two feet from the microwave) and grab cold wet dishrag.
Step 5: Swipe at HOT cream cheese splattered on legs.
Step 6: Dance another foot to the freezer, grab package of frozen green beans. Ice down big red welt on left shin.
Step 7: Alternate between cussing like a sailor and wanting to cry.
Step 8: Switch green beans to right leg.
Step 9: Watch in dismay as big, gooey, nasty-looking blister forms on left shin.
Step 10: Console self with dessert.
Congratulations, you are a dork!

OUCH!!!!! I had no idea cream cheese could be so dangerous... :( Glad it didn't land on any kitty cat's noses either!
Before heating, I usually like to wrap cream cheese in a crescent roll for protection. ;)
Oh, honey!!! OUCH! Take care, burns can be nasty things.
Hugs and healing purrs!!

Oh, PS, I'm watching "Lucy Must Be Traded" (it came on after the news - I wasn't even looking) so, of course I had to pop over and say hi to you and the Peanuts!
It takes a lot of talent to be me.
No kitties were harmed in the making of my cream-cheese and raspberry Bisquick cake. And the cake was delicious (P.S. The cream cheese container landed with the open side UP, so the cheese wasn't spoiled by falling on the floor!)
