Way With Words

Long before the era of the World Wide Weird, eons before blogs were even invented (let alone me knowing what a blog actually was), it turns out I liked to write.

It seems I've always used written communications to share my feelings. In the words of five-year-old Meg, "Let me demonstrate."

Exhibit A:

This is a particular family favorite. Obviously, I knew I was living the good life.

Exhibit B:

I didn't get my stuff back, and I probably didn't stay in the craft room, either.

Finally, we have one from 1993...a few months before my 15th birthday. Remember folks, within a year of writing this, I had my learner's permit.

Exhibit C (click to see a larger version):

I particularly love the care with which I colored the pretty design, using ballpoint pens. I must have been BORED at school that day.

Those are awesome. "I will be easy to find."

When I was a kid, I ran away from home. To the cul-de-sac in the middle of the street. And I came home when it got dark and I got scared. I'm sure that really showed my parents!

I love how kids think this stuff freaks Mom and Dad out, while Mom and Dad are cracking up with laughter as soon as the kid leaves the room.

Apparently, I said some hilarious stuff as a child.

Megs, Please don't ever forget the "look mom, there is strawberry rub bub pie"! I'll NEVER forget how cute that one was...
