Save Me, San Francisco

I've been high, I've been low
I've been yes and I've been oh, hell no
I've been rock-and-roll and disco
Won't you save me, San Francisco?
--Train "Save Me, San Francisco"

Last night, I wrote about how I was in a bit of a funk. I needed some ocean time, and some city time. So this morning, I got an early start, and headed west to San Francisco.

The closer I got to the coast, the less funky and stressed I felt. By the time I exited the Bay Bridge and guided Rosie Pro into the crazy streets of downtown San Francisco, I was feeling relaxed and happy.

I started off at Golden Gate Park. It was busy today, but I managed to get a decent parking spot within easy walking distance of the Japanese Tea Garden.

Last time I visited the tea garden, I wasn't confident enough to climb this awesome bridge. Now I'm all agile and stuff.

I had green tea and cookies in their little outdoor tea room. The view from my table was lovely, and fortunately, I did not see the Grim in my tea leaves.

I got the ring at a Himalayan gift shop in Cannery Row, Monterey. The nice proprietor let Meghan, her daughter Roz, and I each pick a free one with our purchases. I find that I love it, now that I'm used to wearing such a large ring. I also love green eye makeup.

Next post: BEACH!!!

What gorgeous pictures. I traveled to San Fran for the first time about a month ago. It was so much fun. I wish I had more time there to see more things.
