We had a wicked storm today. I loved every minute of it.
I'm not a big fan of thunder and lightning, as they make me nervous. This storm didn't have the huge light and noise display, just howling wind and pouring rain. I took my umbrella to school with me; by the end of the day, the frame was bent.
Driving home from work on I-5 was an adventure. People were either going 45 miles per hour or 70. Very little in between--though I managed to keep the speedometer at 55-60. Going any faster felt a little too reckless, as visibility was low and the wind was rocking poor Rosie Pro around.
What I love most about days like this is when I'm home, safe and cozy in my little apartment. I had a warm shower immediately on arriving home today, and then I set about comforting Millie and Harley, who were hiding under the bed. Harley, my social little dude, was so terrified from today's howling winds, it took him a few minutes to venture out to cuddle with me. He's fine now.
So here I am, with a tummy full of soup, warm pajamas, and my candles lit. In a few minutes, I'll settle down with a book on the couch. It's supposed to rain a little more tomorrow, and then we'll get some sun. Hopefully we'll see more rainstorms soon!

I was hoping for rain today. Alas, it was not meant to be and thus Dani had a sad. It's supposed to rain tomorrow, though!
It's taken me a while for the storms here to not completely freak me out. Still can't sleep through most of them. And I still jump when the lightening is close!
