Diary of a Shrinking Girl

Summer was sitting at my computer, starting up her blog, and I had a sudden thought to get the guest bedding out of my closet for her (she's staying the night). When I took the bin down off the shelf, I noticed my old size 18 jeans on the shelf.

I decided, at the start of this whole crazy/amazing journey, that as I shrunk out of my Big Girl Wardrobe, I would give everything to Goodwill except for those Old Navy size 18 jeans. Sweetheart cut. I want a reminder--not to shame myself, but to remind myself that I never--EVER--want to be that big again.

Anyway, there they were. I laughed and called out to Summer, "I have to show you this." As she worked on her new blog, I changed from my current jeans (size 14 and getting looser by the day) to those 18s, then came out to show her how far I've come.

Sorry Mom, yes, that is my underwear. It's clean, I promise.

Anyway, you can see I've come quite far. I still have a way to go, but I also have every reason to be proud of my progress. I feel amazing.
