First off, I've hit a grand total of 8.4 pounds! This is in exactly two weeks, so I'm feeling pretty damned good about myself right now.
Of course, last night I joked to my hairdresser that I probably lost about 5 pounds in split ends. Ha!
Today was another training day. B. made me do some step-up exercises that were super-hard because I'm only 5'2" and I swear that step was three feet off the ground. Okay, it was less than that, but after three sets, ten reps each, I was having a hard time. He also made me do a crunch that entails keeping your heels off the ground, bringing your knees in and then extending your legs straight--but, to quote Patrick Swayze in Dirty Dancing, "Don't put your heels down!"
In one break between sets, I told him that I sometimes refer to him as the Sadistic Trainer to my friends. He laughed. I think he's proud of that. I did, of course, add, that it is all in jest.
We're halfway through the 10 sessions I paid for. Today he told me about a deal the club is offering. If I buy ten more between March 1 and April 30, I get 10 free sessions in May. I might just do that, because I really need the motivation I get from working with him. And I'm seeing huge results already--8 pounds of weight loss, looser clothing, and a few days ago, a colleague did a double-take when she saw me and said, "I think your face is getting slimmer." My energy levels are higher than usual and I'm not really obsessing about food as much, because the healthy stuff I'm eating keeps me SATISFIED.
New goal: New jeans for April Fool's Day (if not sooner). I have a feeling that soon, I'll be gripping the waist of my jeans to hold them up, and walking funny, just like some of my gangsta-wannabe 8th grade boys.

Your hair looks really nice Meg! GREAT job on "weight loss" thing, you'll be in a smaller size VERY soon. Keep up the good work.
Love you! M. & D.
Woohoo with loose pants! You'll have to post pics of the "new you" before long!
