Shakin', Rattlin' and Rollin'

There was an earthquake last night!

Mom and I were sitting on the Hood Canal Bridge, waiting for it to close after letting marine traffic through. We could feel it swaying for a few minutes and commented on it. A few minutes later, our conversation turned to, "What's the friggin' hold-up?!?" We'd been waiting about 45 minutes, and that is far longer than normal. We turned the radio to the Hood Canal alert station and found, to our dismay, a recorded voice saying, "The Hood Canal Bridge is stuck in 'open' posistion. We apologize for any inconvenience."

Fortunately, it was not long after this that traffic got moving, and we made it safely home, none the wiser that the swaying of the bridge and the possible reason for it getting stuck were a 3.6 magnitude earthquake not too far away.

So that was exciting.

In other news...

Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix is set to begin filming next week!! Yep, yep. This is big news. I'm getting excited already!!

My only concern is that I've seen the following stated twice now:

Potter also wrestles with his attraction to new character Luna Lovegood, a role taken by 14-year-old newcomer Evanna Lynch.
Harry never battles an attraction to Luna Lovegood! She's always a bit weird and Loony (hence the nickname she has in the book). I really hope they don't cast Luna as some bombshell teenage girl who Harry has the hots for, especially since he still had the hots for Cho Chang in book 5.

And that's all I have to say about that.
