Monday Music: The Avett Brothers

I heard this song for the first time recently and I loved it on first listen. It's really lovely. These guys are no Mumford and Sons, but they have a nice sound and some good music.

She Believed She Could So She Did

I bought this wonderful print on Etsy recently, and have hung it over my bed to remind myself that anything is possible. Adventures, always Wild and Absolutely True, can still happen to me...and maybe, just maybe, they will this year.

So many possibilities. So many opportunities, if I just reach out for them.

I've done it before, and I can do it again.

Awesome Day Out, Part 3: Half Moon Bay

After lunch, we drove to Main Street and got out to look around. Half Moon Bay is such a pretty little town. It feels remote, as though it must be hundreds of miles from any large cities, but it's only about thirty-something miles from San Francisco.

Driving back towards the town itself from Cameron's.

This is a huge outdoor table at a restaurant.

Swimmy eyes the cute chicks.

Bunny!

This is a jellyfish-inspired lamp.

There's an awesome store that we love--this is the ground outside. You can buy glass and pottery shards by the pound.

Summer bought some for a mosaic project she wants to do.

Summer found this. Blame her.

Awesome Day Out, Part 2: Cameron's Pub

Summer and I had only gone to Half Moon Bay together once before, but today, we knew we had to have lunch at Cameron's Pub. We went there first, as we were both hungry and ready for sustenance.

The Smoking Bus

The menu...so many options!

I stuck with traditional pub fare.

Meg and Summer : )

The shop did NOT have Jaffa Cakes this time. : (

While we waited for our food, we entertained ourselves with triva cards.

And tea. Always tea.

Our booth was in this odd little corner.

A better shot of our booth.

The ceiling

I wore my Keane scarf, and a duck on my head. And blue clip-in hair extensions.
Needless to say, I don't really care what people think. : P

Shepherd's pie...yummy!!

Actual conversation that happened just as our food was about to arrive:
Summer: I'm going to go to the bathroom. Be right back.

Meg: Okay. I'll just sit here and pretend that I don't have a rubber duck on the table.

Summer: *snort* I'm going to pretend that you don't have a rubber duck on the table.

The best thing about Summer? She doesn't really care that I have a rubber duck. She just thinks its funny and chalks it up as one of my (many) annoying endearing quirks.

Yes, I do!
